Tucson Arizona Industrial Real EstateTucson Industrial Realty, LLC was created in 1984 by principals Dave Gallaher and David Hvidsten who passed away unexpectedly in 1987.  Dave acquired his Broker’s license then and has owned the company personally since 1987.  TIR LLC has become one of the most respected and productive commercial real estate firms in Tucson.  Dave obtained one of the most coveted real estate designations in commercial real estate referred to as CCIM designation (Commercial Real Estate Investment Management).

Dave Gallaher from Tucson Industrial Realty, LLC

Dave is a long time resident of Tucson having attended grade school and high school in Tucson and is a graduate in Geography and Regional Development from the University of Arizona.  After graduating from the University of Arizona, Dave had a career in economic development working for Vista Service, and the Tucson Economic Development Corporation.  Dave also spent four years in Washington State in the capacity of supervising industrial park development at the Port of Bremerton and then worked for three years as the state’s Industrial Development Director encouraging companies to expand their facilities into the State of Washington.  Dave relocated back to Tucson in 1984 to begin Tucson Industrial Realty, LLC.

Dave served as the 93rd President of the Tucson Rotary Club for 2013/2014. Under Dave’s leadership, the Tucson Rotary Club grew to become the largest Rotary Club in the state of Arizona. The Club set record membership growth during the year by increasing female membership and recruiting new members under the age of 35. Rotary International is the largest service club organization in the world with approximately 1.2 million members in close to 200 different countries. Dave has been a member of the Tucson Club for twenty seven years and is committed to community service in Tucson and to international service in the world.

Dave and his wife Susan are passionate about many of Rotary’s programs and Dave is a 4 time Paul Harris Fellow. One of the most rewarding efforts in Rotary has been Dave and Susan’s involvement with Rotary Youth Exchange where students between the ages of 15-18 years old are hosted for one year in a foreign country by Rotary clubs around the world. Dave and Susan have hosted four students and their daughter spent a year of RYE in Jao Pessoa, Brazil. Rotary’s Youth Exchange program is recognized around the world as the premier student exchange program for creating international understanding and world peace. Dave’s company hosted over 500 volunteers for a meal packing event for Feed My Starving Children that was one of the most successful Rotary Club of Tucson charity events in the Club’s history since 1921. Under Dave’s leadership during 2013 and 2014, the Rotary Club of Tucson participated in the 100th anniversary of Rotary in the state of Arizona sponsored by the Phoenix 100 Rotary Club hosting a Meal Pack event benefiting the faith based organization, Feed My Starving Children on February 1, 2014. Dave’s company Tucson Industrial Centers and Realty hosted over 500 volunteers and packed 108,000 meal packs at one of Tucson Industrial Center’s warehouse properties at 4161 E Tennessee, Suite 339.

Dave has served as a member of and board member of The Centurions, an organization 51 years old that raises funds for Tucson charities. Entering 2018 the New Centurions will once again host the largest party in Tucson on May 5, 2018 at Tucson Electric Park. This year’s charity recipient will be the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson. Dave received the Heart of Amphi Schools award in 2010 for his work with the Amphi Schools Foundation where he served for seven years on the board and was responsible for successfully relocating the Amphi Clothing Bank that provides donated clothing to thousands of students within the district.

Dave and his wife Susan, who is also a licensed real estate agent with TIR, have two adult children.  Both Dave and Susan are avid outdoors men and women and when not working on real estate they can be found fly fishing or upland bird hunting in southern Arizona.  Dave has a serious interest in pointing dogs and also spends time in the field training his own dogs.
